IRF Recommends
May 23, 2008
Some links for your Friday morning:
- Some smart guy wrote about Global Warming and Indiana Jones at Spanish Phrase of the Day.
- I’m not a lawyer, nor a legal expert, but I think Linda Greenhouse fails miserably in her analysis of the reduction in close Supreme Court decisions this session. I found her conclusions entirely unpersuasive. Some of the people that she references have interesting things to say, but her thoughts are unimpressive.
- Eric at Tygrrrr Express has an interesting synopsis of a recent Bill Kristol appearance. I agree with Kristol’s recommendation relative to the GOP Vice-Presidential slot. Someone like Bobby Jindahl would be far more exciting than Mitt, much as I love him. I think we have a very good chance at winning the presidency, despite the likelihood of Democrats increasing their majorities in Congress.
- The U.S. had a decline in net oil imports for the first time since 1977. Is this the beginning of reduced reliance on foreign oil? It can only get better if we begin to explore more domestic oil sources.
I have more to say on the oil issue, but I’ll save that for later.
