Biden & Patriotism

From an AP news story:
WASHINGTON (AP) — Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden says that paying higher taxes is the patriotic thing to do for wealthier Americans.
Biden says he and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama want to “take money and put it back in the pocket of middle-class people.”
Under the Democrats’ economic plan, people earning more than $250,000 a year would pay more in taxes while those earning less — the vast majority of American taxpayers — would receive a tax cut.
Biden told ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Thursday that, in his words, “it’s time to be patriotic … time to jump in, time to be part of the deal, time to help get America out of the rut.”
As Michael Silence at KnoxNews.com shows, Biden doesn’t live what he preaches:
Biden calls paying higher taxes a patriotic act
You mean like this?
Biden gave average of $369 to charity a year
Boy, talk about reinforcing the “stereotype” of spending someone else’s money.
What was the term LeMare used? Rat B—–d? Sounds about right.

Biden, Oh, Sweet Joe Biden. Way to get the people revved up about paying higher taxes in the name of patriotism. All the people that can afford to max out their political contributions will now be giving to the McCain campaign to protect their hard earned money.

Well, the middle class has always carried this country economically, (check with IRS) so I guess according to Sen. Biden we are the most patriotic Americans in the USA and people like Bill Gates, Brad Pitt, Oprah, Donald Trump, Will Smith(a great fan here) and many more financial ly accomplished Americans just haven’t been as patriotic until they are ordered to release some of their millions. Well by golly Sen. Obama, if you think that will happen during your administration then you would have done something that has never been done. The bulk of taxes comes from the middle, and if Washington thinks it can operate the country whereon 4 or 5 % of the nation’s wealthiest pay the bulk and provide all Americans in getting what we deserve and are entitled then someone has been living in a bubble. I am telling you, it just won’t work…that is simple economics 101 and to have Americans actually believe this is atrocious.
