    The Court’s ruling is an important one indeed and I agree we all should have the right to bear arms…not bazookas or missle launchers or stuff Rambo wore…but absolutely have the right to access guns that can comfortably protect our lives and property. I do not possess a firearm, but perhaps I am now suitably inspired to secure one if only to re-enforce the right to do so.

    I pumped my fist in the air when I heard the DC vs. Heller decision but it was tempered with some anxiety about the 5-4 split. Those divides always give me something to look over my shoulder about especially as the general elections are looming. I also have to admit that my extreme ambivalence about jumping on the McCain train dimmed a bit in the hopes that the maverick can buck his tendency of contrarian voting and follow through with conservative Supreme Court nominees.
